During the day, I work full-time for a revenue company. When I clock out there, the work definitely doesn’t stop!

I own Kerr Lake Girls Apparel, I own Bowden Girls Produce, our little family farm stand, and I’m co-owner of Bowden Equipment Repair with my husband. I also handle the books and behind-the-scenes office work for the repair business.

Basically, I have several full-time jobs squeezed into the same 24 hours. 

And then there are the ANIMALS. 

We have two pups, Laken & Nellie. 
We have Lainey, our cat who is FULL of sass and absolutely knows she’s in charge. 
And right now we have little Matilda, a tiny kitten I’m syringe feeding who has already proven she’s one heck of a little fighter. 

Oh, and the chickens.

How many chickens?

I genuinely don’t know anymore. I’ve lost count. 

Somewhere in between being a wife, mama, working my full-time job, doing books, running businesses, taking care of animals, school, sports and everyday life, Kerr Lake Girls Apparel is my creative outlet. And I truly LOVE it.

When you message this page, you’re talking to me. When you send me an idea, I’m the one working on your design. When you place an order, I’m the one keeping up with it, printing it, pressing it, packaging it and making sure it gets to you.

A lot of what happens at Kerr Lake Girls happens after my regular workday — usually after dinner, homework, practices, animals and everything else that comes with life. Many nights you’ll find me working on shirts when any reasonable person would probably be asleep. 

I tell you all of this because I want you to know who you’re supporting when you shop with me.

This isn’t a big company. It’s one mama with a very full plate, a creative brain that apparently never shuts off, a house full of people and animals, and a genuine appreciation for every single person who chooses to support my little business.

Every order. Every share. Every tag. Every recommendation. Every person I see around town wearing something I made.

It means more than you probably realize.
